2016 Watercolor Society Show
Torgesen Murdock, Pocatello resident, received the top award in the juried Idaho Watercolor Society Show which opened June 3rd in the SUB Gallery on the campus of Boise State University.
Her full sheet watercolor entitled “Soaring” was chosen from among the fifty paintings exhibited, to win the Juror’s Choice Award for the top prize of $500. The juror, Jean Pedersen, AWS, all the way from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, commented that she loved the circular movement and flow of the painting and all the subtle and varied textures achieved by the artist.
The show will be on exhibit in the Boise State Student Union Gallery through the month of June and then will travel to Northern Idaho, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls.
Plein Air Workshop
For the second year, the award winning artist Torgesen Murdock will offer plein air workshops at her gorgeous mountain studio & acerage in Pocatello, Idaho.
Workshop includes:
- Demonstrations and attention from a knowledgable and experienced instructor
- Stunning still life set ups among the pine trees, aspens and wildflowers
- Costumed models, glorious sunsets and landscape vistas (canopied protection)
